I inherited a Victorian era photo album from my m-grandmother. I wasn't very interested in it as a kid, except for the pictures of Grandma.

Now that I have it, I'm finding it an adventure trying to identify the various pictures. They typically didn't write names and dates on the pictures. However, by filling in dates, pictures, and a ton of information culled from the New Castle News, I feel I have opened up their lives again Now I know who the child with the short-cropped hair was, who was the 20+ "gibson girl" on the bicycle, who the lady in Civil War dress was, etc.

I find it a long, interesting, and comforting project. I plan to publish a book someday, just a private printing, of my PA ancesstors. All relatives who want one can have it for S&H Maybe I will find some current-day relatives too!

Wonderful report. Thanks for sharing. Now I wonder what happened to the one my grandparents had that I loved to go through when I was a kid. It was a big thick heavy thing and most, if not all, of the photos were tin-type. Now I wonder, and have no clue
