Glad to see it took you 2 months, beacuse I've been wondering where my results are. THey told me it would be about a month, but it's now been about 10 weeks & still no results. Although I did get an email telling me that they could not get DNA from my sample, so they were going to redo it.
I'm thinking of doing this test too. Has anyone who is African American tried it? I'm wondering how specific the results will be for African countries/tribes.
The usefulness of the test will depend on how many modern Africans are included in the database. As the size of the database increases, you will be more likely to get useful information. Now, you may be able to connect with a specific geographic area rather than a specific tribe. 23AndMe might not be the best database to use.
I am surprised to read reports of people getting results from 23&me. I'm not getting any.
A couple of weeks ago, now 10 weeks after sending my sample, they were telling me my results are complete but undergoing a Quality Review. Sorry - this does not take an additional two weeks. So I am still without results.
