Here's another one of that same dog from 1910ish, this is interesting because they are definitely showing the dog off, holding it by the neck to probably hold it still for the photo.

This may be a little off topic, but they are babies - babies only a mother could love We were out exploring the back roads of Clark County Arkansas and saw an abandoned structure on a mountain top, and of course had to check it out. When we got into the dark building we heard a noise that sounded like a snake rattling, so everyone froze until our eyes acclimated to the dim light and we saw these two baby buzzards were making the noise. Another person who stayed outside said there was a buzzard circling above the structure and finally landed on a nearby tree snag obviously waiting for us to leave.
