Once you've figured out the Italian words, it should be fairly easy to copy and paste into google translation, as suggested. It's not always the best translation, grammatically, but it will give you the gist of what the document says.
Hi All, thanks for the tips. It is an image file not a text file and so that is part of the issue. Anther issue if you are familiar with languages is often translators do not help because they translate awkwardly, not like a human and you lose 20% of the meaaing (if your lucky only 20%)

Here is an example of part of a document translated by an on-line translator so you see how useless they can be for blocks of text. They are sometimes good for individual words.

Hmm, I've never had a translation that bad before. I would be sure to spell out any words that might be abbreviated and be double sure you have all letters and words correct. Sometimes old script can have letters not in use anymore or letters that look like other letters. Getting one letter (and therefore one word) wrong can totally change the sentence structure and screw up the translation. That's why I posted the link to the tutorial on how to decipher old Italian script.
