Edward CONDON, Dobbs Ferry, included in casualty lists under men who "died of disease."
Utica Herald Dispatch, Dec. 2, 1918

Was your Edward CONDON in Company 1, 308th Infantry? If so, a letter he wrote back home is printed in The Daily Standard Union, June 5, 1918.

www.fultonhistory.com (free site of old digitized NY newspapers)

Many people have this name, so it may be another soldier who wrote this letter.

Was your Edward CONDON born in 1890? This may be his family (living in Greenburgh, NY in 1900.)

The Village of Dobbs Ferry is located in, and is a part of, the town of Greenburgh.

Edward's parents: Michael & Catherine
Edward's grandmother: Mary
Edward's siblings: Peter & John

No, that's not the one ... but thank you anyway ... his parents were Patrick and Mary and siblings were William, John, Katherine and Mary. He was in the 363rd inf rgt, a regiment from the wast because he had moved in 1917 (I think) to Seattle, WA.
