I'm not a huge fan of GEDMatch at all. I took the ancestrydna test a couple of years and even though most of the GEDMatch tests were kinda similar to my AncestryDNA results, there was just waaaaay too much variation on these GEDMatch tests to take it seriously.

In addition to that, the website looks cheap and old as crap, some test makers don't give any description about the test and many people use these abbreviations that you have to look up. But hey, it was free for me so I guess I can't complain..

Indians and Middle Easterners share deep ancestry with a huge amount of people.

You have to know how to read them. Frankly they are overwhelming for most novices and it takes quite of bit of reading and playing with the calculators to make sense of the results but I have found them quite useful.
