You don't get TLC? That's a pretty standard cable channel and I have bare-bones cheapy cable.
You can probably get the episodes on TLC's website or pay a low price on amazon. I used to watch the older episodes on youtube, to catch up on the ones that had played before I'd heard of the show.

Nope. I get bare bones cable but TLC isn't part of it and this is the only cable available here. I used to enjoy that program, both the British one and the US one.
I may try youtube sometime. Meanwhile, the rest of you--enjoy it!
all these people sound interesting I will definitely be watching these and yes finding your roots happens to be one of my fave shows as well . there are a few actors that I could recommend for that show LOL .
You know what I'd like to see? Just for once they do ordinary people.Alot of us have interesting family histories too.
I think a lot of people would like that. Why do these shows always seem to think they need to feature celebrities? I guess it's because they are trying to attract a wider audience than just genealogists.
But I think it would be exciting to just take someone off the street (well, they could select people who send in an application) and trace their family history. That way it could be really surprising to see how ordinary people can be connected to famous people or to important events in history. It would be very interesting to those of us who are also just ordinary people; we could relate better than to a celebrity.
