I really enjoyed the Chris Noth episode. They didn't just focus on one story but two very powerful stories. I didn't know about that big battle in Portugal in the Napoleonic Wars. And unlike their usual unnecessary travel, going to that battlefield was, I think, necessary to fully envision the battle.

The celebrity didn't even annoy me this time! Well, he did "play dumb" once when he was like "these people were here in Chicago in 1870, but not here in 1880. Did something happen?" Nice set up Chris. Even if the general population doesn't have the 1871 Great Chicago Fire committed to memory, they at least know it was "some time in the 1870s." It's like saying "my ancestors were in San Francisco in 1900 but not there in 1910. Did something happen?"
I'm sure Noth isn't that dumb, since he readily pulled knowledge of the Napoleonic Wars out of his back pocket. But aside from that little thing, this was an excellent episode.

I guess I'm going to have to rewatch both episodes from last week online. I kept falling asleep and missed a lot of both. Sigh.
