I am using Ancestry right now, and have been having issues with the site being down, moving slow,
having problem with them saving the date I save. Anyone know of any other good sites?

You mean for tree hosting/maintenance? Instead of another website I would recommend desktop software. It will give you more tools and features anyway. FTM will sync with your Ancestry.com online tree, so you don't need to deal with moving your tree to another site or to desktop software that doesn't sync with Ancestry - because the trouble with that is although you can download a gedcom of your tree from Ancestry.com, it doesn't include any media/documents. So you'd either have to do without media or reattach all media/documents yourself manually. With FTM, you don't have to worry about that, because of the sync with Ancestry.com, it downloads everything on your tree, including media and documents. FTM will allow you to still host and edit your tree on Ancestry.com, but also work on it in FTM whenever the site is having problems and the sync will work both ways to keep the tree up to date on both your computer and online.

Plus, in my experience, site slowness and bugs can happen with any site and is usually temporary - it seems a shame to ditch the biggest records database on the internet because of the occasional glitch.

Myheritage.com seems to do a pretty good job of managing and integrating family trees.

They are okay - I find it less intuitive than Ancestry.com though. And the issue about not being able to transfer all your media/documents in bulk from your Ancestry.com tree to any other website still applies, unless you use FTM.

I have disliked Ancestry's website after their website changes (upgrade) last year. It is definitely slower, I will cancel my subscription and go back to having a "free" account.

For having your trees online, I don't know what website would be "better."

Indexing records doesn't happen through magic.

Nor does obtaining the rights to the records and digitizing them.

I like MyHeritage but it only allows up to 250 relatives to be added for free.

I think Family Echo is a good website. Also more recently I was invited by distant relative to join Geni and that seems to be okay as well.

Boxed Legacy is now owned by Ancestry.com and you will be redirected to Ancestry.com. Roots web are free pages sponsored by Ancestry.com. Familysearch.com used to have PAF, a great programbut they no longer support the software. You have to register with a new software company that supports the format PAF so you can transfer to the new software recommended by familysearch.org.

ANCESTRY.COM also bought Family Tree Maker and since AC changed it I haven't been able to log onto FTM. Anyone know what to do?

Since file sharing (Syncing) any process command causes a frozen computer not responding.
The newer Sync to a cloud does the same thing.
