Did you email some of your matches on ged match? If so, how did you choose which ones to contact? (My desire would be that each member's tree would be displayed but that's never going to happen. Most people either don't have a tree or they want their privacy.)
My sister did her testing through Ancestry, mine was 23andMe. We have a huge match, of course. We're surprised to have so much Mediterranean and even a tad of North African--Tunisia, mine said. It's fun and if you put a lot into it you might get a lot out. For me it's just kind of fun and interesting. I may contact a few matches but I'm not sure I could solve any mysteries in my case.
The only thing I have found that works good for me is I've joined FB Genealogy groups specific to the ethnicity I research. I have access to thousands of people researching the same thing. The email thing is outdated and unproductive.
I put a lot of time into it I plan on visiting some of these places I find evidence that my ancestors have been.
This is an old calculator now but here is my result.

I found a relative on GedMatch, he is a 3rd cousin. They are italians from New Jersey. The crazy thing is that his kids are showing up as 3rd cousins too. We have been sharing our Family Tree but so far we have not found any common relative. This family in New Jersey shows up on Gedmatch, FTDNA and Ancestry as my 3rd cousin as well.

Yesterday I emailed my best match. He had one of my distant family surnames too. Sure enough, I heard back from them today and we are sharing trees on Ancestry now. They live in Indiana but their ancestor comes from the same teeny town in northern Vermont and they also have "The Indian" story in their family history. I'm going to ask them if any native American DNA showed up in their test. It didn't really show up in my 23andMe but when I entered it into gedmatch, there does seem to be a small amount.

Are they popping up as 3rd or 4th generation cousins?

Interesting update have a matching segment with this Thai individual that is primarily European with some Asian Indian in it as well. I hear a lot of complaining about these DNA tools and tests on this forum.
Here's my two sense it takes a huge investment of time and being to learn to utilize these tools effectively. It works if you know what you're doing but the learning curve is huge.
For beginners don't listen to the naysayers that state the whole thing is a waste of time they don't have a clue what they're talking about and some deliberately choose to remain ignorant.
Update the European portion of that sticky segment has been triangulated and is a match with individuals from the House of Plantagenets who are descendants of Sir John Chandos.
Very exciting the "culprit" who fathered the child who is my ancestor and ancestor of the person in Thailand appears to have been a Portuguese Dominican Friar who is a descendant of Sir John Chandos.
I can't say anymore because I value my privacy but the find was very exciting!
I uploaded my DNA data from 23andme to Gedmatch. Now I don't know how to access the reports. Advice please!
Log in and go to the row of tools you have to the right side of the screen, go to any of those tools, it will ask for your KIT NUMBER. If you don't know your kit number, is to the left side of the screen. Copy and paste that kit number if you want.
One of my sons 4th cousin matches on Ancestry tried to upload her moms UK file to GEDmatch it would not accept it. Is GEDmatch just a US site?
Her mom doesn't know who her father is; I suggested she try to upload there
