Greetings,

Just wondering if someone can tell me the likelihood of these two people being siblings?

All you have to do is go to matches, it will tell you if they are on your match list

It's impossible to judge a relationship based on the ethnicity report. As mentioned, just look at your list of DNA matches. If the person isn't on your match list (and you've given it at least a week to fully populate) then you do not share any DNA and you aren't related. If they are on your match list then it should estimate a relationship and tell you how much DNA you share.

Yes, go to the match list. I have found 3rd and 5th cousins I don't even know...lol
One of my nephews always shows up first, in the match list.

Have you gone to your DNA matches, clicked on a person's name, and then click on the "i" ? This will show you the shared DNA, and their # of centimorgans and number of strands compared against yours. Then, scroll down and see the centimorgan chart showing the relationship i.e. 2,400- 2,800 cm's mean they are a full sibling.

So, he sent it in a week ago ? For me, it took about 6-8 weeks to get my result back.

It sounds like the results have been in for a week - how else would they be comparing ethnicity reports?

You probably don't share any DNA then - but just to be sure, if both of you download your raw DNA data and upload it to gedmatch.com (it's free), you can run a one-to-one comparison and it will tell you if you share any DNA. There's no wait time needed on this so you can know right away. If you don't share any DNA at gedmatch either, then I'm sorry, but you are not related. Are either of you seeing any familiar matches in your match list? Maybe not people you know but people who have your ancestors in their tree?
