I'm German and Irish mostly and I have no Iberian DNA based on 23andme results. On Gedmatch I have a trace of West Mediterranean but nothing labeled "Iberian". I have a paternal haplogroup of R L-51 that is probably older than present day populations identified as anything. It probably originated with Bronze/Iron Age people somewhere on the way to western Europe.
I think it's possible, I know if I go far back enough in some of my trees I have Dutch/French German/Italian French/Spanish English/Finnish and so on marriages.

I checked gedmatch. It says I'm 4 southwest English and the bottom says 15 Spanish_Cataluna
These are estimates and not to be taken literally. My European ancestors are all from Britain and Germany, and I get 9% Italy/Greece in Ancestry, with 1% Iberian. It means that these populations share DNA that is very similar to the DNA in Britain and Germany.
They also say I'm 30% Scandinavian while I have no known Scandinavian ancestors. So take it with a grain of salt.

You're probably Scandinavian from some migration in the past.
My wife has no known Spanish ancestors but came up 20% Iberian. Based on shared matches it all appears to be from her mom's side.
Apparently they get Italian mixed up with Iberian on ancestry. Ancestry says I have Iberian and my family tree says Italian.
