Mine came in! Very excited to see the different stuff I can research. My Grandma also got her results which gives an even bigger picture of my background.

I found it interesting that my G-Grandfather was born in Norway (100% Norwegian) yet I only inherited 4% Scandinavian.

I plug in and out of ancestry. I join for a month or two, every year or so. I tweak the family tree and then unjoin again. You can still add a new baby, or edit existing information on your tree while you are not an active member.

I’m eagerly awaiting my DNA results too.

Thanks for the info. I recently retyped my, and my husband's, trees (over 200 people) onto Ancestry. I was worried that I would not be able to access it once I unsubscribed.

See my thread //www.city-data.com/forum/genea...l#post49250127 to learn how to back up your tree GEDcom file and download to your computer so you don't have to keep retyping it

I do the same thing, $99 a year is a bit expensive.

I have traced my family back to the mid 1640’s in Paris (a lot of Chaudron and Mercier). For those of you with a lot of French ancestry, do the results accurately show that? I mailed my test about a week ago.

That was not my experience. Again, it depends on how busy they are.
