Where I come from those are called white people with naturally curly hair. Actually, I think it might be a bit more common among people with Welsh ancestry. Ask a barber.

I agree, Wales and West Country England, then again the first dna tested Briton was dark complexion (not black) and had blue eyes.

I have curly hair and I'm Asian (Western Mongolian). My DNA test told me I'm:

42% Northeast Asian
22% Central Asian
18% East European
06% Northeast European
05% Southeast Asian
03% Southern Indian
03% Northern African

Not so sure about the remaining 1%.

No. There are several genotypes around the world that had / have hair with tight curliness. Ireland / Wales was one. There were south Pacific islanders for another. There are Asian sub-groups with kinky hair. Over the past 200 years there has been so much mixing that a geographically isolated subgroup with kinky hair would likely be hard to find. However, back in the late 19th and early 20th century, when racial identification was a big thing, you could find books that listed, with pictures maybe 20 or 30 "races" amongst humans. Some of those groups had light kinky hair even.

Curley and now grey. According to 23 & Me I have 85% more Neanderthal markers than the rest of the population. I'm still waiting for the Tee shirt.
What's not yet explored/defined is a discrete population from the northern Siberian latitudes called Denosovan.
Genetics are not yet capable of separating these from closely related Thals.

A lot of Jewish people have kinky curly hair. Including my grandmother and my ex-brother-in-law.

Never met any Jewish people with straight red hair, but have met quite a few with curly red hair.

I'd sure like to be a descendant of any people who could give me some curly hair! Tired of this straightness all my life.

Many people of Celtic, Eastern European and Ashkenazim (Eastern European) ancestry all have tightly curled hair. So do some Mediterraneans.
