I was on My Heritages FB page, saw they're doing DNA Quest again. Last year they donated 15,000 kits to adoptees and their birth families. They're now donating another 5,000
For anyone interested in one of the 5,000 kits at
DNA Quest, see the application to apply by April 30th. Kits will be shipped by June 16th with results expected by August.
Supply is limited, preference will be given to people who are not able to afford genetic testing and to those that sign up 1st. Due to the large amount of applicants in the 1st phase, they had a waiting list of several thousand people by the time registration closed in May 2018.
Their database has over
2.5 million users world wide; which is double the size when they launched DNA Quest one year ago. They said they're the largest database that accepts free uploads.
My Heritage blog - DNA Quest Initiative Is Extended

The privacy of all applicants and participants will be strictly enforced. The DNA is owned by the participants and not by MyHeritage. The company has never sold genetic data and has pledged to never do so in the future without users’ explicit consent. DNA Quest is strictly a pro bono project.
Expert Advisory Board
To ensure that participants receive support on their journey to find their birth families, we formed a top-notch advisory board for DNA Quest comprised of world-class adoption experts and genetic genealogists. The board aims to provide guidance to MyHeritage and the participants and will continue to do so throughout the next stage of DNA Quest.

MyHeritage is proud to continue its pro bono initiative to help adoptees and their birth families reunite through genetic testing. DNA Quest made a tremendous impact over the past year, resulting in many reunions. Following its success, MyHeritage has decided to donate 5,000 additional DNA kits, for free, to eligible participants.
Who is eligible?
Participation in this project is open to adoptees seeking to find their biological family members, and to parents and other family members looking for a child they had placed in adoption years ago. Preference will be given to people who are not able to afford genetic testing. Leveraging the power of genetic genealogy opens new doors in the search for relatives, and we believe everyone should be able to access this valuable technology.
