Has anyone done this and what do you think? Given my Ancestry results of half Southern Italian and Irish, I am guessing that I would get Ancient Greece and Celtic. Is this free and worth the results?
You get some reports for free but others are behind a paywall. I don't think it's worth the money, as there's no real way to confirm the reliability of such reports since we have no way of knowing where our ancestors were that long ago. Plus, I don't feel it means much in regards to our more recent ancestry. They do give you 4 modern populations you match for free, but I didn't feel they were very accurate for me, and there's no percentages, they only give you distance number of how closely you match the reference samples. Additionally, some of the results were confusing because I'm a woman, so I have no Y chromosome, yet it seemed to give me a Y haplogroup. It must have been an example report, but they don't make that clear at all so it could be really misleading for some.
