Once again, I tried to access these UK records last weekend (2/7) and I still got that "looks like your family story has gone global" page that invites me to pay more for the international membership. I guess the "free search" weekends must only apply to people who aren't already members(?) This is the second time they've had a free UK weekend and I could not get any free UK records.

Maybe I should have signed in with a fake identity?

I have a US membership and could access UK records, and even found a few that were helpful. I've used their free weekends on the past.

Your issue seems to be of those nagging Ancestry problems that they simply ignore or can't solve. Their recommendation is always straight out of the 1990s, call our toll free line.

I subscribe to Ancestry.com and was able to access the UK records even though I don't need them anymore. I wish they'd offer access to CANADA!
