Also, from my understanding, the death records have to be 50 years old before they will be put online for free. I would assume sometime in 2010, the 1959 death records will be put up.

Don't overlook the Missouri Gen Web site. http://www.mogenweb.org. From there you can go to each individual Missouri county. Some are better than others but all have some resources that may be helpful.
Since both sides of my family came from MO these have been great resources. I particularly like the soldiers database which enables you to see all the individuals in a particular military unit for the various conflicts back to the War of 1812.
Missouri is awesome for having online records. I wish more states would take their lead.
