Do you have some amusing things you've found in genealogy?

I was looking up an ancestor on a website and it said:

"Thomas married someone."

I'm like, great, thanks.

Anybody else run across funny stuff?

I personally favor the ancestor who rose from the grave in NJ to fiight in King George's war in NY.

The many relatives who share the same Unk surname. As: John Smith married Mary Unk. His brother married her sister Ann Unk. Their child Jane married Bill Unk, and so forth for 400 hundred years. .

Unk and Mnu are almost as common as Smith and Jones.

My wife and I found out we were "kissin' cousins" from relatives getting married about 150 years ago. Like I've mentioned in here several times, she's been working in geneology for close to 40 years. I bet if I let her sit down here with funny things, she'd still be typing same time next week! lol
