First, I did search in many forums for this information (just want you to feel comfortable I have done due diligence).
Has anyone used Sirva to relocate? I have been offered a job and they use Sirva to handle their relocation details. I have not received the full details yet of what they will be handling but, I am sure they are handling the move, sale of my home (well, I am sure it is both of us until I find a qualified buyer), I think they are also handling the tempoary living arrangements as well. Perhaps moving the car? Anyway, what was your experience with them?

I've never used this company but have dealt a lot with company relocations. Make sure you have it spelled out clearly in writing what they will be expected to do and what will be expected of you. Is it an international relocation? If so, that carries a whole different set of "must haves". Most companies spell out exactly what they will cover and what they won't with a relocation. (As an example, most companies will not pay any costs for pet relocation or expenses). Remember also that some expenses reimbursed in the move are considered taxable income under IRS tax rules. Make sure you understand ALL benefits and expectations before the move!
Sirva is the holding company for Allied Van Lines and North American Van Lines, Normally when you go through the relocation dept of a company, it can cost you additional funds,
The only ones who usually use a relocation department are corporate moves and sometimes people who are trying to get the relo company to help with the sale or purchase of a home.
