We have two cars and need to pay to have one sent to Washington State from Georgia. Can anyone recommend a company to go with? Thanks!

There is a website, I think it's called autotransport reviews. They list hundreds of carriers. Two things I can tell you based on my experience-NO advantage to book more than 2-3 weeks out; that's when they start lining up their loads; sometimes the people who review get paid (so beware). I used reverse psychology - I found a shipper from the east coast -near my destination- who was delivering to the west coast. After all, he was headed home anyway! It seemed to me that MOST of the carriers were actually just brokers; that is you called them, they went on the internet checking their suppliers, got a price and added $$$ to it. Good money if you can get it. My delivery was flawless.

Most "companies" are just brokers. You may end up on Jimmy Joe Bob's truck no matter who you go with.

If you want tp try to avoid problems go with a single unit covered trailed pulled by a pick up.

My friend shipped his Corvette to Califronia. It took five weeks, the car was covered in oil and dirt when it arrived. Not a pleasant experience. (Weather problems, flat tires, driver had a family emergency and just left the trailer full of cars sitting alongisde the road for a week - it went on and on.)

Another option is to pay a couple of college kids to just drive your car out. Sometimes you can get them to do it for a few hundred dollars. Plus you can put some of your stuff in it. It is a risk, but then so is shipping it. You may get someone good, you may get a chump.
