If money is not an issue, then of course it is California. If money is an issue, Florida is better. Assume you get the the same income both states, Florida will go a lot far.

If you are middle income family like me, then Florida is my choice.

If you are on welfare, then California is a better choice.

I currently live in CA. I moved here a few months ago. The climate is very nice no doubt about that. However, it is becoming too much sun already. I mean it is nice and sunny, but it is too dry. We have not seen rain since April. I am currently in northern Cali and I am thinking of moving somewhere more south.

As far as Florida goes - I like it there too. I have been there a few times for vacations only though. The weather is very nice in the winter months - the water the sun everything. I know that in the summer it gets very humid and hot, which U want to avoid.

So, California is what I prefer. Yet as someone said above - do not move only because of the weather. If you have a job that will make you happy and you feel good then this is all it matters.
Good luck!

I've never lived in Florida but I have visited a few times. I actually like the beaches there more and it is probably overall cheaper. Other than that, I like California better.

This week in Southern California we are getting a small taste of the type of weather they have in the southern states with high humidity and high temps. If this is just a sample of the muggy heat they experience in Florida NO THANK YOU. I'll take hot and dry any day before hot and sticky.

Many people in Florida really like that sweaty sauna bath type weather for 9 months a year,in fact they get quite belligerent at those that might have the audacity to say anything negative about the state.
However some dont like the cold and dont consider the negatives and move to Florida because its warm and sunny all the time.
Cue video.
