What do you consider reasonable? I consider $1700 a month to rent a 3br/2ba house on one acre of land reasonable.

Carolina's maybe southern Virginia. Nowhere north of DC unless it's Maine or NH. I hate most of the East coast. Cost of living is high, people are rude, a lot of me, me, me, give me attitudes, cities are old, poor, and dirty. The summers are hot and humid, traffic moves terrible even in non rush hours.
