Thank Goodness you weren't going very far. What if you had to unload everything into another truck? I hope you are all safely tucked into your new home.

Would you really have felt better had they said they were sorry?

Just kidding!

So...what did we learn?

Cheapest is not always best.

I would get a message to Roger Penske--probably snail mail is best, and list what you are out.....food, time, rental car, cost of rental truck, etc., and ask for reimbursement. Don't be threatening, just be firm. "I have always heard that Penske was a first class operation, but my experience suggests otherwise...." sort of language.

Good luck. Hope the cocktails survived the journey.

I agree, that was so bizarre. It also makes the fridge a lot heavier. Just eat whatever you have in the fridge beforehand and throw out the rest or buy some coolers to take with you if it's a short move.

It was a short enough move. We put the fridge on the moving truck the night before and kept it plugged in and turned it up until we were ready to leave.

LOL, yeah I was wondering about the fridge too.....that is probably one of the oddest things I have heard.
