I started packing yesterday. I never thought things would turn out this way but it is God's plan. I have done quite a bit over the past two days. I cleared out the entertainment center, some drawers, and packed up my books and DVDs.
Packed up a LOT of clothes to go to Salvation Army or Goodwill, packing boxes and identifying stuff that will be sold closer to moving date ... usually am a last minute kind of person but I want to avoid trying to pack my car 100% full of boxes/crap this time around.
I pissed off my mom when she demanded that we be in the house by June first and I told her there was no way that was going to happen. A two story workshop filled to the brim with tools, twenty yard tractors (he collects them) and a small house wth a fully filled attic? Sorry, no way.
We cleaned out a 16x20 storage building. Ended up with a literal ton of garbage (25 years of stuff). Starting packing garage sale boxes, picking out what will go, what will stay. Taking the master bedroom stuff, small breakfast table with 2 chairs, couple of folding desks with chairs, love seat, recliner, nice chair, a couple of glass-front bookcases. Throwing out the dishes, cookware, taking the Margarita machine (priorities).
This will change as we go but Salvation Army is gonna make out like a bandit before the downsizing is done.
I am going to continue the downsizing and cleaning out but I don't know if this move is going to materialize........attitudes are changing quickly.
