Ugh, well thank God I cleaned, Mom was going to stay with her sister until Saturday to help with the obit, house, etc. Nope, didn't happen.
She just called me from the road, they will be here at six
Told her to go directly to hotel and check in so they can rest and I can come grab the cat. Dodged that bullet for now. DH is going to freak, I just know it.
We finally have a move-in date of May 5th. It WAS May 1st but had a bit of a set back-but that is ok. We hired a moving company that will come and do the bulk of the packing for us. Since there are some rooms in the new house ready to go, each time we go over there, we are bringing something with us. The new flooring in the bedroom should be put down next week so we can start cleaning out our closet and just putting our clothes in the closets over there.
So, even if we only bring one or two boxes each trip, by the time the movers come, we should have gotten a lot of stuff over there.
I returned my washer and dryer (less than 90 days old) for a return. Next up, sublease my apartment and sell the rest of my furniture and donate stuff.
Heard trucks running people talking outside yesterday, opened the door. Surprise, the roofer was early. But we have a new roof today. That one is now off the list. Back to our regularly scheduled fix-ups.
Today I worked in the yard. We had bushes die this winter so I dug them up and replaced them. I also stained the front deck and turned the garden over.
Sold my ottoman and chair, showed my apartment to some folks and tomorrow I drop off a load to goodwill.
