CCc, can't you find a used transmission and get it put in pretty cheap? A standard should be a simple job. See if the seller won't replace the tranny or cut the price accordingly.

It's an automatic. The truck has no title. Tranny is 500.00 within picking it up distance. Another potential five or more hours labor. Towing to and from the shop. Easily another fifteen hundred. Also, the odo shows 155K and he says he replaced the motor at 100K. Being a 302 Ford I find it hard to believe it needed replacing unless the first owner beat it; but the first owner was from VT so it's def possible.

Sure, if I xould get it for a grand I would consider it, but it's a fairly new 95 model, the plow is in good shape and it's worth about 1800.00 as she sits at least; it's an XLT with power steering, cruise, cloth interior, etc. I only need it for a year. For 1800 bucks I can probably pay someone to plow us out if need be for the season.

If you're interested he's a nice old guy and I still have the number.

Wish me luck - I just submitted a claim against our moving company for the damage, the delay and what I think is an overcharge.

I hope to get some compensation from that terrible company.

Good luck, kab0.

Had some good sales last week. My dad's vintage ice cream scoop collection. Gave to me in '06 and I couldn't move them. Sold half to a collector in California. YAY!

The house mom bought for us and then rented is trashed from the tenant. Meanwhile she sold her house. She may move into our house. Dunno if that changes anything but I'm still treating it like we're moving. We have way too much stuff.

It will go by fast. We sold our home and moved beginning of November. We traveled for a few months, then started on a six month apartment lease on January 23. Our lease ends Wednesday, and we moved out of that place last week. It went by FAST. We will be in this place 18-24 months. I am sick of moving!

Well, we have pretty much unloaded the primary boxes. Waiting now for our storage building to be delivered (permitting approval more, than the building - slow building department) so we can put our stuff that has to go into permanent storage into it. Also a bunch of my tools.

My class has been weighing me down the last week so I have not done much. My husbands employer shorted his paycheck by 15-20 hours and they don't seem to care, so another problem we have to deal with. I'm starting to wonder if we can make this move by the first of September...
