I'm moving to Kirkland/Bothell in July and looking to share a room with someone until I find my own place. Any ideas on how to find a roomie that won't kill me over an argument?

You always take a chance when moving in with a complete stranger. Try to find someone that already owns or is buying a place. Chances are they have a decent job, are more stable and are just looking for some extra income.

If you absolutely have to get a roommate where both of you are on the lease I would avoid someone that is unemployed of just working part time. You might also Google that persons name and see what pops up. Keep in mind there is always a chance that one day you will come home to find all of your roommates stuff along with half of yours will be gone. Now you are stuck paying for everything.

Try to find a place where you only have to share the kitchen. Having your own space and bathroom will eliminate many arguments
