Default Good point of view

I have been moving a lot since I was 19. I am originally from Europe, so I moved to a different country when I was at that age. Four and a half years later, I came to the USA. Now, I feel tired of moving, but a lot more is awaiting me. I hate to move to a different state, but I feel like this is the thing I should do. I don't think Chicago is the best place for me. I need a peaceful and positive life and this city does not provide that. Not that I have to move, but I came here mainly because of a relationship that is dying. There is no other reason why I should stay here. Moreoever, my job is killing me. It is something that does not suit either me or my degree. I am terrified when I think of moving all my belongings. It costs so much to do all that and it takes a lot of energy. I am tired of my relationship hardships, my job, and everything here. I hope I will be able to make it.
So, after reading this I feel a little more optimistic. I never thought such a positive comment could be made about moving from state to state and far from "home". Thanks for publishing this.

It was very comforting to me too, to read these posts. I had moved by myself all the way across the country from CO to FL so I too have lived away from my hometown. It is a great learning and growing experience. It's funny though; you don't realize all this until you go back and see that nobody else (or not many) people has drastically changed that much and it gets harder to relate to people you were once close to and vise versa. It's still worth it though.

Osito and WhereAmIGoing: Im glad I could help, provide a little information and comfort.

People just have to be open minded and relaxed when they do something like this...

..I don't terribly like moving.. well I don't like the act of days of packing, a dya or two on the road and unpacking.. but I make it fun... make it like an adventure, all the new things/people i see or talk to that I wouldn't have before while on the road or in my new town.

I actually want to move...Im a 30 something who has lived in NC her whole life....Trying to relocate to Phx...Been there on several occasions with mgr on biz.....absolutely love it. Only drawback is that Im getting a lot of flack over wanting to move...
1. 'you dont know anyone there..."
2. you wont be able to make it
3. "Grass is not always greener'
4. No family will be there.
i realize all these things..but I know whats in my heart...i really/truly feel Im so supposed to be there....But focusing right on trying to land a job there....can't move without a job lined up...Kind of hard being out of state.....
