When I was growing up, I had so many teachers and classmates tell me that I should leave my home state for school and/or work if I can because they thought people were so miserable in their home states and/or there was "nothing to do" in those states. Did you ever agree with them and think this was true?

Its not a question of there being " nothing to do".. but here in NY,State, its more of, we cant afford to live here, it costs too much to do business here, the politicians are all incompetent corrupt crooks who waste taxpayr money, its the state is owned my uniins and special interest blocs ( see Hasidic Jews)...

So maybe thats why 1.1 million people have left NY State over the last 10 years. And these people arent illegal aliens, or criminals, they are taxpayers because these numbers are based on tax returns,,,

Sure, I've heard this and I've even suggested a few people I know who live in areas with limited jobs and opprotunities do the same. Location is the big factor...there are many places in the US with limited opprtunities for people.on the other hand some people just make comments of that nature because of unhappiness in their own lives.

Only YOU can make that call on this.
