So last time i creates thread about how some of my family is trying to move from NJ to AZ.

We are looking for shipping companies for both cars and household stuff.

So we did measurement and we only need 6-7 ft space for household stuff in trailer.

List of companies i got quote from

HOUSE HOLD STUFF

U - pack - 7 ft space ( terminal to terminal ) - $2011

Old dominion - 6 ft ( door to door)- $2100

moving place - 4ft (door to door ) -$1400

CAR

Golden key express - $1300

Someone recommended me this company for car.

Any of you ever had any experience with these companies? My budget is around $ 1500 - $ 1600 because the stuff we are trying to move isnt worth spending $2000.

Please share your expereience , if you know any other companies which are good , let me know.

Thank you.

Sell (or give away) in NJ.
Replace once in AZ.
Drive there

Why wouldn't you just drive? Fit everything in the car you can, sell the rest, and call it a road trip. The most fun part of moving is getting there, once you're there real life begins again

I'm also moving to AZ; in 6 weeks so it is coming up fast! I have used ABF relocubes twice before and this will be my third time. They initially quoted me over $2000 so I called up Pods and got a quote of $1900. I then forwarded the quote to the guy at ABF that was helping me and he decided to take $300 off my total move so now I am at $1700-ish. ABF has been great to me and they are so easy to work with, I would recommend them anytime.

As for car, I would just drive. This will be the 4th time in 7 years that I have moved to and from AZ and I have made the 1700 mile roadtrip every time. I only pay around $300 in gas and I do it in two, 12 hour days. It is very do-able but coming from NJ it will obviously be a bit more of a trip for you. However, getting into the Southwest scenery is fun and makes you all the more excited to get to AZ. Good luck to you.

You must have some nice stuff to justify moving it THREE times.

Not very rational, is it? My life has dictated all of the moving, not by choice.
