They say the refocuses are locked with your own lock ensuring no one gets into your belongings but what about the trailers. If we only use part of it.... then what happens with the rest?

With ABF UPack they use the space behind the divider that secures your belongings to ship commercial goods going to the same general area as you. So nobody else's household goods will be on the trailer with your stuff, which is why you can't put a lock on the trailer. I'm not sure what would happen if you completely filled a trailer.

I think this is one reason why their transit times aren't very short. They are quoting 4-6 days for a drive that can be done in 2 days time.

Love ABF! We are moving before the end of the month and will be using ABF for the third time. I don't think we have ever used more than 15 ft. of trailer space (moving a 3-4 bedroom household). My husband loves the freedom of not driving a moving truck cross-country, plus no stress about the truck breaking down, etc.
