My husband is an aerospace engineer. He has only been out of college 6 years. He is experienced but still very young in his career. Relocation is standard and is with most larger companies no matter the industry.

Millie took the words right out of my mouth! We just moved and they paid for the movers. Unfortunately we didn't get the relocation package for the purchase of the house, but we were able to sell it on our own and then were reimbursed some of the costs with selling AND buying. Right now, the government is VERY concerned with how many boomers will be retiring soon, so with an MBA, your husband should be able to come in as a GS-11 at the least. I think the website for government postings is USAJOBS - The Federal Government's Official Jobs Site. A position at a military installation, especially one slated for growth under the BRAC initiative, would be a very good bet right now. Good luck with your search!

Relocating expenses are paid by some Police Departments also, if you can get in as say a 911 dispatcher or some other position. My husbands department gave us $3000 for relocation fee's because he's an officer and they give $1,500 for dispatchers, and whatever we don't use we keep. Government jobs often will pay for relocation it doesn't have to be just PD's try court houses, post offices etc

We just got two job offers an each one offered over 20K for relocation as a lump sum. Finding a company that offers relocation is a big plus.
