I'm trying to plan a cross Country move, from East Coast to AZ. I'm getting prices from several different Company's, where I do the boxing and packing, they load furniture, and packed boxes on to moving truck, then store it all for 3-4 weeks, (free for 30 days) while I look for a home, and then they unload at new location.
Has anyone had any experience with this type of move?
We're you satisfied?
Was the quote given accurate?
Which company did you use?
They all base their price on projected Cubic Feet of space taken on the truck, and weight of load X $4.95 per CF.
How they figure this is vague to me. (It seems like a perfect opportunity to exaggerate Cubic Feet and weight.)

We had North American Van Lines come to our home to give us an estimate. It was quite reasonable so we just signed the contract on the spot. There were zero issues with the move. If I ever move again I will pay for them to pack.
