I have rented my moving truck through Penske because their trucks are cost efficient. The only down fall is that to tow a car the tailed costs $299!!!! That's insane at both budget and I-haul the trailers are less then $100. Would it be possible to tow one of these other trailers on my truck? Has anyone tried it before? Looking for some people who have previously done this so I know the outcome.
I worked at UHaul for 4 years, and I know for a fact that they didn't allow car trailers to be pulled by competitor vehicles. They did allow our regular trailers to be towed by the competition-the reasoning was that you could still clearly see the UHaul name on said trailer which would show potential customers that Penske/Budget/whoever didn't have a trailer to offer you and therefore you had to go to Uhaul for it.
