- We prefer warm weather so no cold and snow (we get these enough where we are from )
- We'd like to have sea near us (maybe max. 45min away from home)
- Low tax rate is a very big +
- City should have over 500 000 people so no small towns unless it's close to a bigger city and easy to get there

Is there a city which would have all of these ?
Closest fit home slice is Houston followed by Jacksonville, FL. Both don't have world class public transportation systems. If you can deal without having the ocean within an hour, Las Vegas.

You say you want low taxes, but you say nothing about cost-of-living or job availability. Are you independently wealthy? If so, by all means go for California. Some urban areas have public transportation and walkability. Both San Diego and San Francisco have those things. San Diego has a coveted climate, oceanfront, and city neighborhoods where you can go for days without driving. But jobs are hard to get and the cost-of-living is one of the highest in the country. San Francisco is one of the most popular cities in the country but a normal single family home will cost over a million dollars. If you can support that lifestyle, go for it.

You won't get good advice here unless you apprise us of your home budget and what kind of employment you will need, if any. It also helps to reveal your age. Young people like different things than older people like.

Go where you have a JOB.

You can't have all of these things in one place.

You are warning them against Miami due to the weather and then suggest Atlanta as an alternative?

Really????

Not to mention the crime and congestion. The weather is best of the 3 in Atlanta!

Well I'd say .. Wait to see who our president elect is, then... Reside on the other side of the wall. I'm starting to think hot tamales and fish tacos may be a good alternative to what America is being fed.

As a reasonable poster asked...where are you being employed? Are you a citizen here or seeking such?

Hi everyone who answered my post

THANK YOU ! Your comments really help us a lot !

About our work: at the moment we work in international company which has sudsidiaries all over the US so our we could live anywhere.
We really love Los Angeles, we've been there twice. It would be THE place to live but we do know taxes are high, cost of living is high, crime is high, public transport is fairly good, weather is amazing and it's a big city.
I think we need to get back in the drawing board and think this all over again.

Thanx again !

Atlanta has 4 seasons, Miami is hot and humid 8 months out of the year. Is Atlanta that bad? I've only been twice for short periods of time but I'm trying to think of places that match his requirements the best. Florida has horrible public transit.
