HAVE EXTRA MONEY ALONG IF YOU DO MOVE SO YOU CAN LEAVE IF YOU WISH. IF CAN CAN AFFORD TO KEEP YOUR OLD HOUSE, DO SO EVEN IF YOU JUST HAVE A FRIEND HOUSE SITTING AS LOTS OF SMALLER COMMUNITIES ARE JUST NOT FRIENDLY AND WILL FIND THIS OUT 6 MONTHS AFTER YOU MOVE THERE...Is fake...just have to see if you want to deal with what goes on. Cops are dirty in some parts of country due to the drugs so keep that in ind too...

Can you transfer with the company? Do you get bites when you apply for work elsewhere? Trick to things as the wealthy with college kids know, if you can pay 6 months of rent at once is most apartments will take you. Need to be able to cover 6 months of all expenses in cash before you consider a 'test move' alone to cheapest apartment in safe spot that you can afford...Safe usually is outskirts of town toward the 20-30 minute commute spots as the fancy entertainment neighborhoods and cheap areas surrounding are usually located on outskirts of poor area they demolished and is not safe for some...Walk neighborhood before you rent to see if anyone says anything weird to you or you see groups of kids bothering adults. Funny, but you can just say 'I'm just visiting' and these 'gang stalking' kids will leave let you pass, get confrontational and get harmed.

Other trick, for bigger cities just look up Gigs on Craigslist and you will find so much day work, situation will be pretty fine until you find good full-time work. Craigslist does list lots of entry level or temporary work in bigger cities, really good work. Don't answer scam ads with wrong city or insane pay either...Most of the ads are just fine though.

REALLY, if you are bothered while walking neighborhood before looking at a rental, you will DEFINITELY want to keep your old place. But best approach is to try to rent from friend/family's guestroom in new place so you won't get harmed or scammed. Just listen to the residents around you after you do this kind of move and you will have lots of helpful advice about how area runs...

Can also get the online work thing going and get multiple clients in one area, then move....Get EIN # from IRS.GOV so you don't have to give out SS# to online jobs. You have to do quarterly estimated taxes and own withholding for 1099 work but SO worthwhile in my opinion....This is best idea if you are being harassed like I mentioned...Move where you have a few contacts and stay with them for while before you rent.

We moved almost 6 years ago. We had a business and some properties to sell first. So we sold rental number 1 first as that had no mortgage and then we bought our home in the new state for cash. Then we sold our primary home at the end of the school year ad moved in the summer. Rental number 2 sale was delayed, fell thru and eventually sold 3 months after we had moved. The business was also sold before we bought the new property.

Now we are moving again. However ,my husband has been living in what was our weekend home, for almost 2 years now. I am staying until the youngest finishes high school which is this June. Putting the house here on the market in a few weeks and hoping it sells by the end of the school year.

The only thing I would have done different was to have jobs before we came. We sold our business to a national company and they kept saying we could definitely get jobs in the new state with them. However, what they didn't know was that it was very hard to get a job if you are not from this area. It is almost impossible.
