U-Haul offers moving help to unload the truck. Has anyone ever used this referral service? Has anyone ever hired help to unload the truck?

Last question...Do you have to stop at all the weigh stations along the highway between NY & NC?

THANKS!!

I found a GREAT moving help using U-Haul's website. I was so happy with them the first time, I hired them directly the next time (local move), and will use them again for my next move.

Penske has better trucks at better prices. But U-Haul has motorcycle trailers, Penske does not.

Also - and trust me on this - it is dangerous and a royal PITA to load and unload a motorcycle into/out of the back of a moving truck using the truck's ramp. If at all possible, back the truck up to a hill and just ride or walk the bike in/out. If Penske will rent you a truck with a liftgate instead of a ramp, definitely go that route. If you must use the ramp, have two friends help you walk it up the ramp backwards when you load, that way you can ride or walk it out going forward when you unload.
