Well as they say you don't have to shovel heat. I much prefer having a milder winter that I can BBQ most of the year down here, up in Dallas you have an ice storm every year, here we only get one every 7 years. That's a big plus in my book. Plus we are even drier in the summer, very low humidity and no tornadoes. Austin for the win.

As you can see by my posts, I love Minnesota and it wasn't until I got older & the cold got to me that I realized I wanted/needed warmth.

When I was younger I so looked forward to the first snow and winter. I did a lot of ice fishing, spent time with good books & friends, loved listening to the storms outside while curled up cozy & warm. Oh, and sledding. Wonderful!

Thunderstorms in the spring & summer. What a magnificent way to see nature at its most awesome. There's a lot to be said about living there.

You name it.

Ive been researching Dallas myself,Your right its a great city, but I noticed the apartments are high as hell, I highly doubt a 19 yr old will be able to afford $1300 rent alone.

There are suburbs around Dallas that are cheaper.
