I briefly lived in a city (1 year) that I wasn't fond of at the time. To this day I regret not giving it more time. After four years living in my current city, I realize my circumstances/health/frame of mind/desires/finances are much different today (better) than they were 7 years ago, living in this other city.
The city I left has nicer weather, better jobs and healthcare than where I currently live - but not much else. I'm reconsidering returning, because it checks off so many boxes - but feel like a fool because I didn't like it when I lived there. However, I wonder if I'd have a different perspective and would change my mind, seeing the benefits of living there again?!!
My sister also lives in a nearby city.
Have any of you ever returned to a city you once lived in but didn't like? Was it a mistake? Did you feel differently about that city after returning? Regrets?
