I'm moving a 2 bedroom apartment from Chicago to Pittsburgh and have spent the last 2 weeks getting quotes from the large carriers, brokers, and local movers. I'm sure anyone reading this forum isn't surprised that it's a mess with all sorts of uncertainties. I've seen some good advice here that if you choose one of the major van lines (allied, mayflower united, north american), pick a reliable local affiliate. Does anywhere here recommend good local affiliates in the chicago area for these van lines?
