I'm talking to Zippy. I save half (1150) if I unload and pick up at their place. I'm curious as well. If I go this route for my long distance move it's basically cheaper than renting a uhaul.
I called Pods today and requested that I pick it up at the warehouse. They call it "Self Final Pickup". I will end up saving the $200 delivery fee and pick up the cost of a $29 Uhaul Trailer Rental.
I would have done the 6x12 Uhaul trailer for the whole move as I have on another one, but I didn't feel like dealing with it on a cross country drive with an older pickup.

Yeah Pods is super expensive, which is why I haven't used them before. I used ABF's upack on one of my previous moves and they were great. I would prefer to use ABF now, but can't.
My current driveway situation doesn't support one of ABF's trailers, and I live too far away from the hub for their Relocubes. An ABF Relocube only has a 2500 pound capacity where the similiar sized Pod has a 5000 pound capacity. So Pods it is.
