I am moving from Florida to Brooklyn, NY. I am trying to decide which moving truck to use. I will be moving 2.5 bedroom, dining room, living room, and kitchen worth of stuff. I am looking at the Penske 16 foot and 22 foot truck. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

22, 16 barely moves a 1 bedroom IMO. Penske worked fine for my move from Florida to Manhattan back in 2004.

Comparison shop the Budget Rental Truck cost online against the Penske price.
We did and chose Budget. YMMV, but check out the online prices anyway because you might also get a better deal with Penske online.

thank you for the replies. I appreciate it.

Boomerang- Penske has better prices than budget which is why I am going to choose them.

Avoid U-haul at all costs. Penske has a 22' and that is my recommendation.

22' would be my choice as well.

Penske has TWo discounts and they stack.

Internet booking and AAA. They total 18%.

Above is right. Penske 26' is same price as 22'.

Do not believe their sizing guidelines unless you sell off most of your stuff.

use movex--you can tell them the size truck you need--DO NOT use the ads attached to their website for helpers---we did and got taken--movex claimed not to have given permission for that company to advertise on their site!
