How strict is pods on the weight limit? And does that include the weight of the container?

I'm adding up my stuff and it looks like I'll only be able to fill the 16' pod 50% without going over, even less if the weight limit includes the weight of the container, which they don't specify.

Most people doesn't have a freight scale in their garage so I don't know how they expect everyone to know what their stuff weighs.

Does the Podzilla have a scale built in? Or is it just if it can't lift the pod will they make you unpack some stuff.

From another person prior post, it appears the Podzilla can lift about 2 1/2 tons. If it can't lift it, you are definitely overweight and they will require you to unload stuff from the container. Since it appears the weight limit is based on the lift capacity of the equipment used to handle the containers (Podzilla, forklifts at terminals, etc.), very heavy items may do better with 2 smaller containers instead of one large container as the weight capacity is the same regardless of size.
