My husband took a job in Virginia but he was in Minnesota. Before he left he put a change of address in to start June 13. He was suppose to get his paycheck but it didn't come that day, He spoke to the mail carrier and went to the post office. I'm still in Michigan and so that was the address he put. He called the town in Minnesota because he thought he should have got it by now, He spoke with the mail carrier who saw the check on June 16 and put it in the mail forward depatment. I have called Minnesoa several times as I'm worried about this mail. They keep saying that it will still come new change of addreses take longer sometimes. Only we would have this luck. If it doesn't come we will have a mess getting the company to issue a new check. Has anyone else that moved had their mail take forever to get to the address that it should be forward to.
If the sender has an endorsement of "Return Service Requested", the mailpiece will be returned to the sender if it's undeliverable as originally addressed.
Many companies will use this endorsement when mailing a check or a credit card.
Verify with the sender whether or not they use this endorsement.

This happened to us, i gave up calling USPS so i send them a formal complaint via email, and after a couple of emails back and forth, our letters started to appear, but the mail for the first two weeks we had moved have never appeared.
Perhaps your hubby can have his pay directly deposited into a bank account, if his employer offers this HR feature. While this won't help with your current situation, direct deposit eliminates such complications.
Good luck and, like others above, I'd encourage him to contact his payroll department. They should be able to stop the check and get the funds reissued in relatively short time. Doing this will be w-a-y faster than waiting for the check to show up in mail that has been forwarded.
