Hi,

I'm moving from Las Vegas to Columbus, OH. I am shipping my car using DAS.
I handed my car over to them since 4/3/10. My estimate date of arrival was 4/16/10. Now, they've changed it to 4/21/10 because, up until now, my car is still sitting in Vegas. They haven't even shipped it yet. I'm wondering if there is anything I can do. Any advice? Thanks.

Car shippers usually wait until they have a full or nearly full load, otherwise it costs them money to transport it. not much you can do at this point. Did you have a contract with them stating possible delays and what compensations there are (if any) for this?

Maybe it will take them that long to repair the dents they made in it.

You can get them to un-dispatch it to the driver and Go with another carrier. I did this with Crowley Auto Transport

I agree with suzettec (assuming that you won't get charged a fee for breaking your contract, if you have one). If you need your car ASAP, hire another company to take care of it for you.

I have a question: How much is the average cost for car shipping services?

Depends on type of car and mileage.

Been looking for services for my Honda Accord and average price from Alexandria, VA (DC area) to Elizabethtown, KY (Ft. Knox) is $400-$600.

Anyone know how much notice is usually needed?
