How long did it take you to pack? (questionaire)

Half a day to pack. Unpacking takes about 30 minutes.

I am a minimalist and have moved 4 times in 4 years - I don't keep anything that I do not need.

I have moved many times. The first thing I do is go thru the house gathering up all the junk and make a dump run. You will be surprised how large this pile of junk will be. Next I gather up everything I need to keep on hand after the packing is done. After that I start packing one room at a time.

If I have to pack all the house like for relocating from one place to another it can take 1 month but if i have to go for an holiday then it take a week or 2 weeks..depends on the days i am going for.

It takes my wife and I 2-3 weeks...seriously. we are such procrastinators we have to start 3 weeks ahead of time. We are moving back to Michigan in June 2012 and we have already started packing stuff we are not using into plastic tubs. Hopefully we will be ready on that last day...

We too hace started dump runs / trhrift store donations. We have made 3 trips which took over 10 5 gallon tubs to the store...
