Most of my moves have been to places where I didn't have friends/know anyone. I thought it made it more exotic/interesting. Fun times - bright, shiny and new! (last move was ~15 years ago)

I think it is better when you move to somewhere not knowing anyone so that you get forced so to speak to get to know people and meet them and if you have a dog you can walk that makes getting to know people even better . I think it is okay to move to places where you don't know anyone .

Virtually every move I have ever made I didn't know anyone. Including the one I am making this week.

I moved from Iowa to Tulsa OK for a girl I met online. Signed a six month lease on my apartment and started a new job. Still here, I have about a month and a half to go before my lease is up. The girl and I are no longer together and now I'm stuck here alone. It sucks. Definitely moving when my lease is up.
