Hi everyone,
Im about to move house but it was very sudden so I have had almost no time to plan anything. My current lease will end dec 31st, my new lease would start on january 1st. The problem is that I will be out of the country over christmas (between dec 20th and jan 5th) so will need to put my things in storage before i leave for that 5 day gap at the end. I cannot drive in pennsylvania so bringing things to self storgae is not an option.
I just want to know if anyone has used the u-haul storage system where they drop a storage unit at your house, you fill it up and then they take it away and put it in storage? I have no driveway at my house so do not know if they will deliver one to an on street parking space? Would i be able to fit 2 double beds, two chests of drawers and one large desk, plus boxes of clothes ect, into just one box??
Thanks for any help

I used them a few years back. Worked just fine for me. Try to get storage space on the first floor near a door, preferable someplace close to where you can park. A convenient spot like this is worth it even if you end up paying a bit more. Also, make sure you get plenty of room. Rent more than you think you'll need, just in case.

Is there any possibility of extending your current lease, let's say, for 1 or 2 weeks? Even though you'' be paying for both places simultaneously, at least you can move directly from one place to another without worrying about storage.
