Hi, everybody!

I have a little bit of seasonal depression and gloomy days kill me. I just need a place has many sunshine, not necessarily hot weather.

BTY I am finding a Mid-sized or Large city to go to graduate school.

Any information or advise will be highly appreciated!! Thank you a lot!

I think there is a thread already being discussed about the sunniest cities in the U.S. [the Southwest is the sunniest].

The sunniest city in the US is Yuma, but for you El Paso (TX) is better because it's pretty large and very sunny.

Extreme Climates in the U.S.

One of the charts on that page has the sunniest cities. There's also a chart with the cloudiest cities so you'll know places to avoid.

The Denver/Boulder area in Colorado would be a good choice with over 300 days of sunshine and also provide some good options for grad school.

Albuquerque, NM. 340 days a year of full sun (not a cloud in the sky). When it rains here, people walk outside mouth agape and end up drowning because they don't know what that stuff is coming out of the sky. Also, there is a huge, major university, UNM.

I'll second that. Being a weatherman out here would be a pretty easy job. "The Albuquerque forecast for today is sunny with a high of ___."

And yes, we do excited when we get a wet, rainy day because they are rare.
